CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (10/19/13) The Leopards played No. 25 Harvard tough throughout the first half, playing the Crimson to a 14-3 deficit at intermission.
However, Harvard would take full control of the game in the second half, stringing together a 56-yard scoring drive capped by a Stanton three-yard TD for the 21-3 advantage midway through the third. The Crimson would score again to start the fourth quarter when Pruneau found Andrew Fischer for a 50-yard score.
Lafayette’s first TD of the game would come in the fourth quarter, trailing 28-3. Drew Reed, who took over at quarterback after halftime for Andrew Dzurik, completed a 23-yard pass to Hall and two more to Duncan for 21 and 25 yards. The second grab by Duncan was a touchdown. Ryan Gralish’s PAT made it 28-10. The Leopards and Crimson exchanged touchdowns in the remaining eight minutes, with Harvard scoring on Pruneau’s 15-yard strike to Brate with 2:58 left. On Lafayette’s final drive, the Leopards had the ball 4th-and-14 before Reed connected with Dixon for a 43-yard score. The Leopards’ two-point conversion failed and the final went to 35-16.
