EASTON, PA – The Leopards opened Patriot League play with an 85-66 loss to a hot-shooting Army team.
Dan Trist and Bryce Scott registered 13 points apiece. Trist and Joey Ptasinski pulled down five rebounds each. The Leopards shot 43.6 percent from the field compared to 54.4 for the Black Knights who also shot 45 percent from three.
Coming out of halftime with a 39-27 lead, Army used a 16-5 run early in the second half to break open the game. The squads traded points to start the second half, with Trist scoring the first six for the Leopards, prior to Army’s 16-5 run.
