EASTON, PA – Lafayette returned home after a five-game road against Stony Brook. The Maroon and White rallied late, but were unable to complete a comeback in a 71-61 loss.
Danielle Fiacco paced the Leopards with 19 points, including the first seven of the first half that helped to build an early 14-4 advantage. She moved into second place in the Patriot League for career blocks with her 310th and 311th.
After a back and forth start to the second half, the Seawolves worked up a 10-point lead with just under 11 minutes to play. Efficient free throw shooting and key buckets down the stretch pulled Lafayette within four with 1:03 left to play, but the Leopards couldn’t convert after a Jamie O’Hare steal.
