EASTON, PA – Lafayette extended its winning streak to four games with an 87-64 defeat of the Bucknell.
The Leopards had five players score in double figures for the first time since January 2009 against Princeton. Seniors Kelly Loughney and Madeline Fahan led the way with 16 points apiece. Emily Homan and Jamie O’Hare each added 12, while Linnel Macklin scored 11. The balance Leopards’ attack shot 47.8 percent from the field while draining more than half of their threes. Homan finished with a double-double adding a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Maroon and White rode an efficient second half to a 23-point victory. Coming out of the half with a four-point lead, Macklin highlighted a 7-0 run at the start of the second stanza. Back-to-back threes from O’Hare and Loughney with seven minutes left sealed the victory for the Maroon and White.
